| 内容記述 | 本稿は，小学生が「ゆめ」をテーマにして書いた作文が収集されているコーパスを用いて，小学生がどのようなカタカナ語を習得し，使用しているのかを調査する。そして，使用傾向や特徴を分析した結果を応用して，学習者用の基本的なカタカナ語を明らかにすることを目的とするものである。対象とするカタカナ語は外来語を中心とするが，カタカナ表記の多いオノマトペも調査の対象とする。 分析の結果，男子の作文では，スポーツの語彙に非常に偏っており，特にサッカーに関する語彙が多いことがわかった。また，女子の作文では「ケーキ屋」や「アイスクリーム屋」のような「～屋」という店を将来の夢として挙げている児童が多くいた一方で，4年生から6年生までは「テレビ」が最も出現していた。オノマトペの出現数は，女子は男子の2倍ほど多く，学年ごとの使用傾向も大きく異なっていた。共通点は男女ともに「どんどん」の出現数が最も多かったことである。 また，夢の語りについても男女の違いが見られ，男子は有名選手に憧れやすい傾向がある一方で，女子は身近な家族を話題に将来の夢について語っていた。これらの結果を応用して学習者用の基本的なカタカナ語について考えてみると，上位に出現する語彙には作文のテーマが「ゆめ」であることの偏りが見られたが，いずれも日常的には使用されることが多い語であるため，優先的に学習すべきカタカナ語を明らかにすることができたと言えるだろう。 |

| 内容記述 | This study examines the acquisition and usage of katakana words by elementary school students, analyzing a corpus of their compositions. By identifying usage trends and characteristics, the study aims to determine basic katakana words essential for learners. While the target katakana words mainly consisted of loanwords, onomatopoeic expressions, which are often written in katakana, were also included. The analysis reveals a strong bias in boys' compositions toward sports-related vocabulary, particularly soccer. In contrast, many girls mentioned ~ya stores, such as "cake shop" and "ice cream shop," when discussing their future dreams. "Television" was frequently used from fourth to sixth grade but disappeared in sixth-grade compositions. Differences in dream narratives were also observed: boys often admired famous athletes, while girls focused on aspirations related to family members. Onomatopoeias occurred approximately twice as often in girls' compositions compared to boys', with distinct usage trends across grade levels. Notably, both genders most frequently used the onomatopoeia "dondon." Despite the thematic influence of "dream," the most frequently used words still reflect everyday vocabulary, suggesting their importance as foundational katakana words for learners. |
