| 内容記述 | 本研究では，鹿児島県奄美群島沖永良部島知名町田皆集落において，住民の「しまむに（北琉球沖永良部島のことば）」の理解度・産出能力・継承意識・学習ニーズを全戸調査により分析した。調査の結果，「しまむに」を理解できると答えた割合は全体の約7割であったが，話せると答えた割合は約5割にとどまり，理解と産出には差があることが明らかになった。また，方言能力の向上を望む住民は多く，特に「日常生活の中で自然に習得すること」を重視する傾向が見られた。次世代への継承については，76%が継承を望んでいるものの，実際に何らかの継承活動を行っているのは約1割にとどまり，意識と行動の間にギャップがあることが確認された。この結果は，住民の言語意識を考慮した持続可能な方言継承施策の設計に示唆を与えるものである。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | This study examines residents' comprehension, productive ability, inheritance awareness, and learning requirements regarding "Shimamuni" (an endangered language spoken on Okinoerabu Island, Northern Ryukyu) based on a household survey conducted in Tamina District. The results show that whereas 70% of the respondents indicate being able to understand Shimamuni, only approximately 50% indicate that they can speak it, thus revealing a discrepancy between comprehension and production. Additionally, many residents expressed the desire to improve their language proficiency, with particular emphasis on the importance of acquiring it naturally in daily life. Regarding intergenerational transmission, 76% of the respondents wish to impart the language to the next generation. However, only approximately 10% are actively engaged in revitalization efforts, thus highlighting a discrepancy between awareness and action. These findings offer insights for the development of sustainable language-transmission policies that consider residents' language attitudes. | |||||||||
