The results show that whereas 70% of the respondents indicate being able to understand Shimamuni, only approximately 50% indicate that they can speak it, thus revealing a discrepancy between comprehension and production. Additionally, many residents expressed the desire to improve their language proficiency, with particular emphasis on the importance of acquiring it naturally in daily life. Regarding intergenerational transmission, 76% of the respondents wish to impart the language to the next generation. However, only approximately 10% are actively engaged in revitalization efforts, thus highlighting a discrepancy between awareness and action.
