| 内容記述 | 本稿では，富山県砺波方言の終助詞「ヤ／マ」「チャ／ワ」の意味について考察する。「ヤ」「マ」は命令文（依頼文・禁止文を含む）専用の終助詞である。「命令文＋ヤ」は，共通語の「命令文＋よ↑（上昇)」と同様，念おし的なニュアンスを含む命令を表す。これに対し，「命令文＋マ」は，共通語の「命令文＋よ↓（非上昇）」と同様，説得あるいは非難のニュアンスを含んだ命令を表す。両者の使い分けは，「話し手の意向」と「聞き手の意向／現実の状況」の間の矛盾を前提とするかしないかという点に還元される。「チャ」「ワ」は平叙文専用の終助詞である。「チャ」は「当該の情報Pは既定の事項としてよい」ということを表し，「文脈に存在する～Pの可能性を排除しなければならない（排除すればよい）」ということの表明に用いられる。これに対し，「ワ」は情報Pを「その場で想起された話し手の個人的認識」であることを表し，控えめな情報伝達というニュアンスが生ずる。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This paper deals with the semantics of sentence final particles YA／MA and TYA／WA in the TONAMI dialect spoken in TOYAMA prefecture.YA and MA correspond to YO(rising) and YO(low) in standard Japanese respectively and are used only in imperative sentences. YA has a nuance of seeking confirmation, and MA a nuance of persuasion or criticism.The use of YA/YO(rising) and MA/YO(low) depends on whether or not the speaker assumes a conflict between the speaker's intention and the hearer's intention or the actual state of affairs. TYA and WA correspond to YO(low) and are used only in declarative sentences. P TYA (P stands for a proposition) expresses that the speaker regards P as a fact or a matter of course, therefore P TYA is used to exclude the possibility of Not-P in the context. P WA, on the other hand, presents P as specifically the speaker's recognition which occurs to him/her at speech time, and is used to introduce new information to discourse in a reserved manner. | |||||
