| 内容記述 | 本稿は徳之島の北端に位置する集落のことばである金見（かなみ）方言について，まずは，金見方言の文末イントネーションが意味の対立を作り出すことがないことを報告する。これは，断定と疑問のイントネーション調査，および，複数のシチュエーションを設定しての呼びかけイントネーション調査の結果による。一方で，文中イントネーションについては，統語構造やフォーカスが反映されるなど，対立が認められるようである。そして，この方言においては人に名前で呼びかける場合に，語（名前）の基底には存在しない音声的な伸び（長母音）が生じる場合があり，長母音が生じる位置については語を単独で言い切る場合のピッチパターンから予測可能であることを示す。 | |||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | This paper reports that the intonation at the end of a sentence in the Kanami dialect, the language spoken in the hamlet of the same name located along the northern tip of Tokunoshima Island, does not create opposition in meaning. This conclusion is based on the results of research on affirmative and interrogatory intonation and research on intonation in multiple situations when making an appeal. However, mid-sentence intonation creates opposition in syntactic structure and focus, among other aspects. In addition, this research shows that when calling someone by name in this dialect, long vowels that do not exist in the underlying representation (name) may occur in some instances, and that the position where phonetic lengthening occurs may be predicted based on the pitch pattern when a word is said independently. | |||||||||||||
