| 内容記述 | 現代語のある表現・意味を，古代語ではどのように表現していたか。その問題にかかわる研究領域は，表現史として設定されうるであろう。そうして，その研究の成果の集約として，現代語＝古代語辞典の編集を想定しながら，どのような作業がかんがえられるかを，のべる。（1）語彙研究の成果を検討する，（2）古代語作品の現代語訳を検索する，（3）古辞書を利用する，（4）古語辞典の記述を参照する，というような作業である。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | How were expressions of modern Japanese conveyed in classical Japanese? We propose establishing a new field whose purpose is to solve this problem, and call that field “the history of expression.” With the idea of compiling a modern-classical Japanese dictionary, into which the results of research in the field will be incorporated, we offer a practical plan, to include reviewing results of historical lexicology, looking up expressions in modern translations of classical works, using old dictionaries, and consulting classical dictionaries. | |||||
