| 内容記述 | 本稿では,独創・発展型共同研究プロジェクト「定住外国人の日本語習得と言語生活の実態に関する学際的研究」で企画・実施された縦断調査研究の成果を紹介した。最初に,研究目的と実施された調査の設計(方法・姿勢等)について述べた。その後,研究期間中に実施されたさまざまな調査のうち,秋田県A市で実施された調査結果と群馬県B町で実施された調査結果を取り上げた。また「話し合いの場(多人数会話の場面)」作りの試案を提示し,その提供の方法,試案の有用性,反省点を示した。最後に,今後の当該分野に関する課題の提示や展望を行った。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This paper reports the outcomes of my project, "Interdisciplinary Study on Learning Japanese and the Reality of Language Life of Foreign Permanent Residents in Japan." After a brief description of my research goal and survey designs (methodology, etc.), I explain the results of two surveys. In the first, a longitudinal study on learning Japanese and the actual linguistic circumstances of foreign permanent residents in A city in Akita Prefecture, I investigated features of speech style in the Japanese of non-native speakers. In the second, I focused on the importance of first-language (Portuguese) development in allowing minority students to achieve high levels of competence in their second language (the majority language = Japanese), especially in literacy-related academic abilities (Cummins 1986). Based on the results, I argue for the importance of providing a discussion setting for both Japanese native speakers and non-native speakers and offer an assessment of it. Lastly, I consider future prospects for this research topic. | |||||
