However, it is a highly vital ethnic group and maintains a strong community through independent social activities such as building religious facilities, and running ethnic businesses such as the export of used vehicles. These individuals are also multilingual speakers who use many languages in their daily lives. This research uses Ethnolinguistic Vitality Theory to reveal the current condition of their multilingual language practices and the relevant sociolinguistic elements. This research investigates the applicability of Ethnolinguistic Vitality Theory by 1) considering various theories related to multilingual language practices and 2) by collecting qualitative data through participant-observation and research related to linguistic beliefs. The results revealed that the Pakistani individuals living in Japan use multiple languages (Japanese, English, Urdu, Arabian, and their ethnic languages) in the context of the sociolinguistic structures and conditions in their home country and the linguistic beliefs developed in the social context in Japan. In addition, the linguistic beliefs showed some common features with the framework of Ethnolinguistic Vitality Theory, which affirmed the validity of this theory. It was also confirmed that linguistic belief data could be used to explain the framework of the Ethnolinguistic Vitality Theory.","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_10002_description_51":{"attribute_name":"フォーマット","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"application/pdf","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_10002_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.15084/00000541","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_10002_publisher_39":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"国立国語研究所"}]},"item_10002_source_id_41":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"2186-134X","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"},{"subitem_source_identifier":"2186-1358","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_10002_source_id_44":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AA12536262","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_10002_version_type_52":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"福永, 由佳"},{"creatorName":"フクナガ, ユカ","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"6265","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"FUKUNAGA, Yuka","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"6266","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2019-02-20"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"papers0803.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"992.1 kB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"papers0803.pdf","url":"https://repository.ninjal.ac.jp/record/550/files/papers0803.pdf"},"version_id":"303f633b-fae1-4408-8a2e-30b6b7a79c0f"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"多言語使用","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"在日パキスタン人","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Ethnolinguistic Vitality Theory","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"言語意識","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"multilingual language practices","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Pakistani individuals living in Japan","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Ethnolinguistic Vitality Theory","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"linguistic beliefs","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"在日外国人の多言語使用に対するEthnolinguistic Vitality Theoryの適応可能性 : 在日パキスタン人の事例","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"在日外国人の多言語使用に対するEthnolinguistic Vitality Theoryの適応可能性 : 在日パキスタン人の事例"},{"subitem_title":"The Applicability of Ethnolinguistic Vitality Theory to the Multilingual Language Practices of Foreigners Living in Japan: Cases of Pakistani Individuals Living in Japan","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10002","owner":"3","path":["67"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2015-10-30"},"publish_date":"2015-10-30","publish_status":"0","recid":"550","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["在日外国人の多言語使用に対するEthnolinguistic Vitality Theoryの適応可能性 : 在日パキスタン人の事例"],"weko_creator_id":"3","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-05-16T10:13:41.511438+00:00"}
