The dialect has archaic features in the six- and seven-word-class accents of three-mora nouns, as well as in some conjugated forms of verbs and adjectives. The accent system of this dialect is in accordance with the hypothesis of the proto-system of the Northern Tohoku dialects that the auther had previously proposed. However, some minor revisions of the hypothesis are required.
