The simile is a kind of the metaphor. The simile has a morphological index and shows a false proposition. And a simile uses the appearance of things and compares it with other things to make a description more vivid. The Japanese auxiliary verb \"you\" (よう) is often used in forming a simile because \"you\" shows a false situation as the truth in the mind of speaker. Verbs of perception can form a simile in specific syntaxes, for example: \"youni + verbs of perception\" (ように＋知覚動詞), \"to + verbs of perception\" (と＋知覚動詞), \"A wo kanjisaseru B\" (Aを感じさせるB), \"A wo omowaseru B\" (Aを思わせるB), and \"A ga B ni mieru\" (AがBに見える). These syntaxes show a false situation as the truth. The simile requires a form to be able to portray a false situation as the truth.
