 note = {東京学芸大学, Tokyo Gakugei University, 幕末から明治初期にかけて,西欧文化との接触や文明開化の影響によって数多くの新しい単語が生じた結果,日本語の語彙はその基本的な部分にまで大きな変動がもたらされた。この研究は,そのような語彙の中でも特に学術分野の専門用語の一般化の過程をとりあげ,現代の各種基本語彙表や,明治から現代までの雑誌・新聞・テレビなど各種メディアにおける変遷を主に計量的手法によって明らかにしようと試みたものである。その結果,一部の専門用語は基本語彙表や現代メディアの比較的高頻度の階級に見られるなど,現代日本語の中核の部分に深く浸透していることがわかった。このような学術漢語の一般化の現象は特に雑誌などでは,明治初期から急激に進行し,1900年前後には現代の様相の基礎が既に形成されていたと推定される。, Japanese vocabulary underwent a great change, extending even to basic items, as a consequence of the production of many words under the influence of European civilizational elements from the end of the Edo era to the beginning of the Meiji era. This study was undertaken with the aim of achieving a quantitative overview of historical changes in vocabulary in Japanese, in particular, the process of popularization of Meiji scholarly terms that appear in the basic vocabulary lists of present-day Japanese or in the vocabulary of various media (magazines, newspapers, television) from Meiji to the present. It is concluded that some Meiji scholarly terms have deeply penetrated into the base of present-day Japanese, as such terms form part of basic vocabulary lists and of higher-frequency ranks of vocabulary lists of present-day media. It is inferred that popularization of these scholarly terms in magazines occurred rapidly early in Meiji, and that the essentials of present-day Japanese vocabulary were being formed around 1900., application/pdf},
