However, learners demonstrated increased use of externally accessible evidence and improved positioning of evidence within their arguments. In contrast, reliability and persuasiveness showed statistically significant improvements. The clarity and normative citation of sources enhanced reliability, while clearer reasoning and reduced logical gaps between evidence and claims strengthened persuasiveness. Despite these improvements, challenges remain. The increase in evidence quantity and its ratio to claims was limited, and explanations of evidence, such as \"personal experience\" or \"data,\" were often insufficient. Additionally, ambiguity in citing \"authoritative opinions\" and issues like misinterpretation of evidence and logical gaps in reasoning persisted. To address these challenges, bridging the gap between general composition and academic writing education is essential.
