Therefore, using data from the I-JAS, which enables comparison between the actual usage of learners and native speakers, we investigated the adverb "yahari" ivis-à-vis its frequency of uses, form, position of occurrence, and meaning/function. Therefore, the following four points were observed. (1) The trend in the adverb "yahari" regarding its frequency of occurrence in the native language shows that native speakers use "yahari" more frequently than learners. (2) Of the three forms of the adverb "yahari," learners use "yappari," "yahari," and "yappa," while native speakers use "yappari," "yappa," and "yahari" in that order. (3) Learners frequently used the adverb "yahari" in the initial part of a speech. We observed that they use it with the meaning and function of "as a result of deliberation" when answering questions. (4) Native speakers frequently used the adverb "yahari" in the middle part of speech to state conversational assumptions and common ground in an environment where they were postoccupied with inverted and sequential conjunctive expressions in compound sentences., application/pdf}, pages = {51--68}, title = {I-JAS インタビューデータにおける日本語学習者の副詞「やはり」の使用実態 : 日本語母語話者との比較を通して}, volume = {26}, year = {2024, 2024} }
