 note = {大阪大学 博士後期課程, Doctoral student, Osaka University, 日本語接続表現の史的研究においては，次のような見解が共有されてきた。日本語には固有の接続表現は存在せず，他の品詞からの派生であるとの見方である（京極・松井1973，岡﨑2013 他）。その派生の一種として接続助詞から接続表現への変化も指摘されてきた（小柳2016，Matsumoto 1988 他）。
このような先行研究の流れに対して本稿では，戯曲・文芸・話芸作品に見られる接続表現トの成立について，これまで論じられてこなかった「ト書き」との関連が存在するという仮説を述べるものである。
歌舞伎台帳やドラマシナリオといった戯曲における「ト書き」には，演技・演出の指示の役割があることはよく知られている。この歌舞伎台帳の文体は洒落本等同時代の文芸作品に影響を与えたことが知られる。洒落本では「ト書き」に表記・意味の点で共通する形式「割書」が用いられた。「ト書き」「割書」を観察すると，共通した特徴が多く見られる。近代・現代散文作品における「地の文」においても，その影響が観察される。本稿では「ト書き」「割書」から近代小説の「地の文」に受け継がれた要素として引用のトと接続表現のトがあるという主張を行う。
以下，各節で扱う内容を述べる。まず，先行研究における接続表現トの扱いとその問題点を指摘した上で，ト書きの様々な使用を分析する。続いて，散文作品における「地の文」にはト書き・割書と同様に接続表現トの使用が見られることを述べる。, Previous research on historical Japanese conjunctions has argued that no specific conjunctions exist and that they are derived from other parts of speech (Kyogoku & Matsui 1973, Okazaki 2013, etc.). It has also been indicated that, as a type of derivation, there is a change from connecting particles to connective expressions (Koyanagi 2016, Matsumoto 1988, etc.). 
This paper discusses the relation of to-gaki (ト書き) with the formation of the connective expression to (ト) as observed in plays, literary works, and other narrative art, an aspect that has not been discussed in previous research. 
The role of acting instructions observed in kabuki scripts and texts for dramatic scenarios and to-gaki is well-known. This to-gaki style was also employed in sharebon (洒落本) as a shared style called wari-gaki (割書). Examination of to-gaki and wari-gaki reveal several common features. Their influence is also prevalent in modern prose and literary texts. This paper analyzes to-gaki and wari-gaki and offers a hypothesis – an inherited element exists in the usage of to in quotations and conjunctive expressions in modern literary works. 
The following content will be discussed in each section. First, issues in previous research regarding the conjunctive expression to will be indicated and second, the various usages of to-gaki will be analyzed. Subsequently, the usage of the connective phrase to in modern literary texts and their connection to to-gaki and wari-gaki will be explained., application/pdf},
