It has been recognized that the three classes of Tarama accent are distinguishable according to the existence or non-existence of falling pitch and its placement. However, Igarashi (2015), Matsumori (2016a, 2016b), and Aoi (2017) have reported that Tarama accent can be realized as rising pitch in some cases.\nI examine the pitch patterns of the Tarama accent based on my field data and describe the condition of realization as rising pitch.
