 note = {国立国語研究所, 方言と地域共通語とでは，捉え方の方向性，観点が基本的に反対である。方言が，地域差すなわち変異の観点からみた各地の日本語であり，区画論的に言えば，ある言語的基準に関する差異性をもとに，広い地域から狭い地域へと日本語を地域区分した結果であるのに対して，地域共通語は，個人や地域ごとに多様な日本語を何らかの均一性の観点から見直し，その通用範囲の広がりによって統合していく過程の中に認知されるものである。本稿では，北海道の富良野・札幌における社会言語学的調査の資料にもとづき，主として後者のようなことばの共通性の視点から，両地点における都市化の程度差に注目しつつ，いわゆる北海道共通語の使用状況と，その背後にある話者の言語使用意識との関係について分析・報告する。, The conceptual difference between “dialect” and “common language” is that the former is in principle concerned with the diversity of language, and the latter with its uniformity. The objective of this paper is to report, from the latter point of view, the interrelationship between the actual use of the regional common language in Hokkaido and the users' consciousness of language use. The data was obtained from the sociolinguistic survey conducted in Furano (a rural community) and Sapporo (a large city).
