国定読本における副助詞「くらい」と「ぐらい」 The adverbial particles kurai and gurai as used in Kokutei Tokuhon 加藤, 安彦 カトウ, ヤスヒコ KATO, Yasuhiko 国定読本 副助詞 くらい ぐらい 程度表現 Kokutei Tokuhon adverbial particles kurai gurai degree expression 国立国語研究所 副助詞の「くらい」と「ぐらい」は，歴史的には名詞の位階を表す「位」という語から派生したものである。われわれは「くらい」も「ぐらい」もほとんど同じ語のように用いているが，これらの語に違いはないのであろうか。国語の標準を確立するのに大きく寄与したとされる『国定読本』のデータを用いて，一見違いがないように思われるこれらの語が担わされている役割を明らかにする。 Historically, the adverbial particles kurai and gurai both derive from the same word KURAI(noun; meaning grade,rank).We use kurai or gurai as if there were no difference; in the same sentence, some use kurai and others use gurai.
